Style

As most of you know I'm in a packing frenzy over here preparing for our move. I came across this little ol' book while I was packing things away the other day.

Kate Spade -Style-
I totally forgot I had it so it was a nice surprise. I picked this book up when I was in college so it's by no means new. It was published in 2004 but the book is timeless. That's what I love about Kate Spade- her style, her collections- they're all relatively timeless classics but with a fun flair.

If you haven't heard of this book you should totally check it out. It offers style advice that is helpful no matter what the decade, century, or season. In this book, Kate talks about her style inspirations and how to find inspiration yourself. There are clothing care tips, organizational remedies, pairing suggestions and there's a nice big section on accessories too. If you know me at all you know I love my accessories and so does Kate.

Kate Spade is one designer that never disappoints. I can always find a handful of things that I adore from her collections and I've felt this way for years now. A lot of designers will adopt a new style or trend along the way but Kate always stays classy, classic, and feminine. Here are a few things that I'm loving right now:
-Top to bottom, left to right-
Sedgewick Place Paige, Flatiron Sophia Grace Diaper Bag,
Nylon Karen, Park Avenue Beau

-Top to bottom, left to right-
All that Glitters Clutch, Cayman Flats,
Catcher FlatsBeacon Court Jeanne

Rainy Days

When I saw these ballet flats I knew I had to have them because they reminded me of the jelly shoes that I loved so much when I was little... and they have bows, and how pretty is this shade of green?!
My J.Crew shipment arrived yesterday and it couldn't have had better timing because it rained today and I got to wear my rainy day flats. They're cute, comfortable, and perfectly ventilated for rainy days or any day really.

It's true what they say, babies really do take over the house! Please excuse the swing and jumparoo, we are I am (I'm the clutz) constantly tripping over stuff anymore and we're definitely out of room.
Tshirt- J.Crew
Jeans- Abercrombie & Fitch (old)
Silver Glitter Belt- Old Navy
Flats- J.Crew

Recent Spring/Summer Purchases

So there's a little gem of a store that I discovered re-discovered with a great selection of spring/summer pieces--- and guess what? They're all marked at a great price point too! I never think to go to JCPenny when I'm at the mall but after getting a catalog of current trends in the mail, I decided that I needed to make a trip there to check things out.

I didn't pick up any clothing items but I did get some flats, sandals, and earrings. I should also mention that they have several JCrew-esque necklaces (including the bubble necklace) for $20 and up too. Unfortunately, I had to refrain from buying any because those types of necklaces just aren't practical with a little one that is always tugging on everything in sight but one day, one day, I'll get reacquainted with my beloved statement necklaces.

So here's what I picked up...

...and here are some of my top picks from the catalog.
