A few of my favorite things

My fiance surprised me with an amazing assortment of french macaroons. I've seen them all over wedding magazines and on wedding websites and I've been dying to try them. These tasty treats are one of my new favorite desserts. He had them imported from France, how sweet is that?
Flavors from top to bottom:

coffee, almond (my favorite), lemon, chocolate, vanilla, raspberry

Nars Orgasm

Philosophy Purity (my favorite facial cleanser ever!!!)

Lenox Cobble Hill Server

Crate & Barrel White Square Appetizer Plates

(that will match our dinnerware on our registry!)

Globe Wine Stopper

(made of actual gem stones)

Stocking Stuffers!

Bare Foot scrub, CG Last Blast, Shea Sugar Body Scrub,

Peace Love Couture perfume, cosmetic case (with a purse charm on the zipper!)

Viva La Juicy perfume, bag, and car air freshner

Mary Kay Satin Hands set

Christmas OOTD

I know this is a little late, but better late than never, I guess. We were really pressed for time on Christmas morning so I only got one decent picture that didn't come out blurry. We spent Christmas Eve with my fiance's family. We had a traditional seafood dinner, lots of wine, and we played some Partini! My fiance and I exchanged gifts that night because he can never wait till Christmas morning. We had breakfast and presents on Christmas morning with his family and then by early afternoon, we made our way to the poconos to spend the rest of the day with my family.

Wedding Wednesday Ebay Deals!

I'm a sale shopper for sure. I'm not a fan of paying full retail price for anything because I know in the back of my head that there's probably a coupon code out there somewhere waiting for me to use it. I've turned to ebay for a lot of my wedding-related purchases. Here are a few of my recent finds:
I found this beautiful pen on ebay for our Best Wishes/guestbook table. I love the antique pen base. It's much nicer looking in person. ($8.00 with shipping)
Same with the flower girl basket, much better looking in person. It's so girly and frilly. I think it will go perfect with her dress. ($14 with shipping)

I ordered this lovely garter from the UK (on ebay) as well. I bought two, one to toss and one to keep. ($8.00 for both with shipping) I think I'm going to add some blue lace to the bottom of one of them because I still need "something blue" and it will add a little extra something to my garter.

I also got a great deal on pink votive candles and clear glass votive holders on ebay. (50 votives and glass holders for $50) I'm going to add some lace to the votive holders so I'll post pictures once I get around to doing that. Can you tell I like lace? I'm adding lace to everything it seems. Oh well, at least I'm consistent.
We have just 5 months to go and we are starting to feel the crunch as each day passes by. It used to seem so far away but now it seems like time is starting to fly by! Once the holidays are over, I plan of tackling some more DIY projects and getting back into the swing of planning. So, i'll keep you all posted...
150 days until our wedding!!!

7 Years, You & Me Together

7 years ago, on this very day, my (now) fiance asked me to be his girlfriend in the sweetest way I could imagine. Here we are 7 years later, engaged and planning our wedding! Instead of buying a store bought card and going out to dinner at a fancy restaurant we decided to make this year a little more special. It is the last time that we will celebrate this anniversary because in just 5 months we will have a new anniversary to celebrate. That doesn't mean that we will forget our "dating anniversary" or February 7th, our engagement date but as of May we will have a whole new special day to celebrate and remember.

This year, we decided to make eachother cards and we are going to cook our anniversary meal together. We're having a feast today, which starts out with, eggs, sausage, bacon, and toast for breakfast; followed by Chicken Mediteranean for dinner (a dish that I've missed since one of our favorite restaurants went out of business).

Yay for New Boots!

I've been craving a pair of gray boots and I finally found a pair to my liking. I wish they had a platform but I can deal with it because I like the slouchy look and I love the cuffed top.

I've been wanting one of these eiffel tower figurines for a while now. When I came across this one I knew it was for me because of the little bird. It was in a section with jewelry hangers. I'm not sure if this is decoration or if it's meant to hold earrings, maybe? (see the small holes on the bird?) What do you think? Either way, I think it's cute and it will look great in my shabby chic room once I get it painted. I've been putting this task off for a looonnnnggg time now but after the holidays I'm going for it!

Our Classy Christmas Tree

We decided to do a silver, gold, and pearl themed tree this year. When we were all done decorating the tree my fiance said "Wow, that is one classy Christmas tree" (hence, the title of this post). I thought it was cute.
Does your Christmas tree have a theme?

All I want for Christmas is you...

What better title than the lyrics to my favorite Christmas song? I'm love this song so much that it's been my (seasonal) ringtone for the past 4 Christmases.

It's been a while since I last posted but things have been insanely crazy around here lately. I have a few upcoming posts planned though and I really want to try my best to blog more.
As for now, I'm going to brag a little. This incredibly adorable tissue paper (below) was designed by one of my very talented best friends. I'm so proud of her. How rewarding is her job?!
I made this ornament out of last years Christmas cards. I remember making these when I was little and I just had to add one to my Christmas decor because it's one of those sentimental decorations that make it feel more like home. Anyone else make these as a kid?

I also made three wreaths. I told you, I've been busy!
This pink and gold one is hanging on the closet door in my dining room:
This holly berry wreath is hanging on my front door:
And this one is on my back door:
I love these cute little reindeer. They were my grandmothers so they are sentimental to me. I was so surprised to see that another fellow blogger has the same exact reindeer! Check out her's here.

Do you have a lot of sentimental decorations/ornaments
that you break out for the holidays too?

Our Wedding Party Attire

Exciting news- we found the perfect bridesmaid dresses. They are by Alfred Angelo, style# 7127. I love this dress so much that I actually want to order one for myself! I think it's so classy and I know my girls are going to look gorgeous. They are all going to wear nude peep toe pumps to keep everything light and springy.
Our flower girl is going to look so adorable in this floral empire waist chiffon dress. I saw a similar dress on a wedding website a few months ago and I've been searching everywhere for this dress. I finally found it this past weekend on My Girl Dress. The prices are amazing on this site. This dress is only $34.99!!!

Earlier today, my fiance and I picked out the tuxes. Turns out, we have the same taste, so we agreed on everything. The sales associate was pretty blown away. We decided on the Calvin Klein Aston tux in black. My fiance, our groomsmen, and our fathers will all be wearing this tux with an ivory shirt. My fiance will wear an ivory vest and bow tie, the groomsmen will wear a black vest and bow tie, and our fathers will wear a silver/grey vest and bow tie (similar to what is pictured below).

They will all wear the same shoes- After Six Celebration in black patent leather.

As you can see, we have been making a lot of decisions lately. We are starting to feel the pressure as our day gets closer and closer. All of the bridesmaid dresses have to be ordered by the end of the month and all of the groomsmen have to place their orders by the end of February. It's all really happening. My vision is coming together and everything is starting to feel more and more real with each decision we make. While there are a lot of fun and exciting moments, there are also plenty of stressful moments but we a trying to tackle the wedding stress the best that we can.
How are you/did you deal with all of the stress that comes along with wedding planning?

Our Save the Dates

We are officially spreading the word- we finally mailed out our save the date cards last week. We had the actual cards made and my mom and I made the little tag on the side that has our wedding website information on it. As simple as they look, they took forever! We printed them out on cardstock, measured, cut, rounded the corners, hole punched them, and tied them on with ribbon.
The "Save the Date" on the envelope is a Martha Stewart transfer. They are extremely difficult to transfer. My mom and I ruined at least 15 envelopes because they don't rub off as easily as you would hope, but they look great so I guess it was worth it.
We had these return address labels made to match our cards. I love how everything is so coordinated.

*Sorry, I had to block a lot of the text out for privacy purposes
but I hope you got an idea of how everything came out*

Outfit of the Night

This was thrown together pretty quickly because we decided to go out for some drinks at the last minute. It was so ridiculously cold last night. I thought I was going to turn into an icicle walking from to the parking garage to the bar but once we made it inside it was nice and warm!

These are a few of my favorite things...

I bought this eye liner a couple of weeks ago and I am in love with it! It's so creamy and it glides on effortlessly, it smudges like a dream, and it doesn't end up under your eyes after a few hours. This liner stays fresh on your face alllll daayyyy long. A lot of eye liners that I've tried rub off and/or melt off under my eyes so after a long day and my make up is a mess. This liner keeps me looking fresh - I'm so happy I found this product!

In other exciting news, I got new sheets!
I haven't had flannel sheets since I lived at home with my parents. My mom would always put flannel sheets on my bed in the winter and I loved them. I've been out on my own for 6 years now and for some reason, I never thought to buy them until now. I forgot how warm and snuggly they are so from now on- it's flannel sheets all winter. I think I'll have to pick up another set!
