Aubrey isn't sleeping through the night but she is sleeping about 5 hours and for only being (almost) 7 weeks old and being a breastfed baby, I don't think that's too bad. Between working, taking care of Aubrey, cleaning bottles, making dinners, keeping up with housework, and visiting with family and friends, I am in constant motion. I miss blogging though so I'm not giving up on my little space, I just ask that you bear with me while I adjust to this new life. I'm sure many of you moms out there can relate to this transition.
So, here it is my first postpartum OOTD. I have to tell you how much I missed shopping. I really didn't buy much for myself during the last 9 months so I'm pretty excited about all of the spring trends. Speaking of which, Aubrey got a few new things from the spring line at Carter's the other day so maybe I'll share those in a separate post. As excited as I am to add to my closet, words can't express how much fun it is shopping for Aubrey!
Attempted OOTD photo #1 I'm not sure if you can tell but Aubrey is also rockin' the polka dots today. I'll admit, I do try to match our outfits as much as I can. |

Speaking of matching... This was totally unplanned (I swear!) but my nails just so happen to match the polka dots. |
So, my question to all of you blogging mommas is this: How do you do it? How do you balance everything and find the time to blog too?
You look fantastic! Take your time & ease back into things! It's definitely a balancing act!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It really is, but I still enjoy blogging and reading blogs so where there's a will there's a way, I'll find the time once I get into a routine.
DeleteYou look great for just having a baby! Congrats by the way! And girls are always more fun than boys, we get to match them..haha!

Thanks! Girls are so much fun but there are so many adorable clothing options for boys out there too. I love the little collared onsies and bow ties.
DeleteYou look amazing! I didn't realize you were back at work already---I'd love for you to do a post about the transition and how you manage it all!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying shopping for yourself again too. I can totally relate. I have bought maybe 3 things for myself since I got pregnant (other than essentials like body wash haha). I just have no interest. I go into stores I love and see cute things but I remind myself it's pointless to buy them until after baby is here and I'm going back to work (maybe they'll be on mega sale then too!)
Have a great weekend,
-V
Thanks! I would love to do a post about the transition but I just started back so I'll wait until I am in more of a routine so I can be more thorough. I'll be posting soon about post pregnancy weight loss too. I was only interested in shopping for her the entire time I was pregnant and I was obsessed with getting her nursery in order.
DeleteYou look absolutely beautiful! You really do! I love that sweater, and in fact just bought it this morning :) We will be twins!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how busy you are, and I think many of your readers can totally relate. So no worries, we all still love your blog :)
Thank you so much! I fell in love with the sweater when I saw it on the mannequin but then I was SO disappointed to see there was only one left and it was a large so I asked an associate to see what size was on the mannequin and luckily it was a small! It was meant to be I guess. I can't wait to see how you style it!
DeleteThanks for hanging in there and understanding, Noelle:)
PS - that necklace is stunning!
ReplyDeleteI love that sweater and you look amazing...can't tell you even had a baby! I remember the very first months how hard it was finding time to wash my hair much less blog! I like to stay up after they go to bed...or right before they wake up to get everything done! I just enjoy reading everyone's blog I find the time, but mine are much older and I can explain why I need a little time!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Luckily, I only wash my hair twice a week but yes, sneaking in a shower can be a challenge. I think your strategy is great but right now I'm looking for as much sleep as I can possibly get so I can't do that just yet but once she's older and sleeping more, I will adopt your plan!
DeleteYou look amazing, I am due my first baby in 4 weeks and would love to see more posts on both you and your little girl. It would be great if you could do a weight loss post as you are looking in great shape and when you are into more of a routine, a post on juggling work and baby x
ReplyDeleteI'm a big polka dot fan, too!
ReplyDeleteYou do NOT look like you just had a baby little mama!! Gorgeous as always. :)
ReplyDeleteGive yourself some time. I've decided to just blog once/twice a week and schedule my posts... I just can't do it every night like I used to.
