Question of the month: What's your best beauty tip/secret (aside from: drinking lots of water, wearing sunscreen and taking off your make-up at night)?
My beauty secret is witch hazel. Witch hazel is known to deep clean and tighten pores and it is also good for washing away excess oils from your skin resulting in less breakouts. I use it at night before I apply my moisturizer and I have noticed a difference in my pore size (which I am estatic about). Another beauty secret of sorts is having a nightly beauty ritual: wash your face, moisturize, apply eye cream, anti-aging serum/cream, moisturize your hands, apply chapstick/lip moisturizer.

I've read the same thing about witch hazel, although I've never tried it myself. My pores on my cheeks have always bothered me because they are much larger then the rest of my face. I'll give witch hazel a go!
ReplyDeleteThats interesting about witch hazel, I've never heard of that! My skin is super sensitive though, so I'm not sure how it would work on mine. Good reading list, too, Danielle!
ReplyDeleteI used to use witch hazel when I was a teenager, but had forgotten all about it. Maybe I will pick some more up now that you've reminded me about its awesomeness :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like May is going to be a fabulous month for you!
I agree - a nightly beauty ritual is such a great idea...I have a bathroom ritual (clean, medicate, moisturise etc) and then a nightstand ritual (lip balm, hand, cuticle and foot cream)...so much fun LOL!
ReplyDeleteHmm, I need to adopt the Witch Hazel for my nightly routine! :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about Witch Hazel for sure! Might need to invest!
