My concern is my linea nigra. I has definitely faded but it's still there and it bothers me. I've been using rubbing alcohol and that has really helped -A LOT. This may be TMI but when I rub an alcohol soaked cotton swab along the line and color actually comes off and transfers to the cotton swab. I've been doing this a couple of times a week and I've been noticing a difference but I think I'm at the point where my body needs to kick into action to get rid of it; if it decides to. My doctor said that it may not go away which scared the crap out of me but I'm staying hopeful. My aunt who has the same olive skinned coloring as me, had the linea nigra and hers disappeared over time so that's what is giving me hope.
I've been searching for a one-piece that won't make me feel old and frumpy but I don't want to invest in one because I'm hoping to return to a bikini eventually. Which isn't a problem because Victoria's Secret and Macy's have really disappointed me with their options. My favorite place, Target (pronounced: Tar-jay) seems to have the best selection and of course, the best prices too.
So... I'll never be able to switch back to a bikini but found this sexy one piece at Nordy's:

Mine was really dark right after birth and went away...it never bothered me so I guess I couldn't tell you how long it took. I can't find a one piece that I like so I might be a bikini girl for the rest of my life...I might give it another shot I would go with one like this: http://www.victoriassecret.com/swimwear/one-piece/twist-bandeau-one-piece-forever-sexy?ProductID=90748&CatalogueType=OLS
ReplyDeleteI even love some of the super vintage feeling ones from Shabby Apple...actually looking I like a lot of them!
I love the vintage inspired ones too but my husband hates them. Some if them might make for awkward tan lines too. Haha
DeleteI can't believe you're back to your pre-baby weight already!?!?!? That's AMAZING!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was watching ItsJudysLife on YouTube, she's 7 months postpartum and says she scrubs her linea nigra with a loofa everyday in the shower and it's helping, a lot.
I looooove that top pink monokini and the black & white polka dot one. SO CUTE!
Those are my top two! I watch her channel too! It's all about scrubbing, it's like dirty skin which really sounds gross- sorry! My H thinks it faded a lot & that I could wear my bikini but you're your own worst critic, ya know?
DeleteThose are such cute suits! I worry that my line won't go away :-( TMI but mine isn't even straight so it's going to look even more of a drunk line once I don't have the bump :-(
ReplyDeleteCute suits!! :) I really love the bottom one.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem last summer and these are WAY better options than what I came up with. I'm sure that you are going to look fabulous!
