I went to a couple of yard sales on Saturday and I found some really pretty pieces:

I know, the color is hideous. I can't wait to paint it white and distress it a bit. It will be the perfect shabby chic mirror for our computer room.

I'm not a huge fan of the pictures in the frames but I think the frames themselves are so charming. They were orignially gold and then painted white. They will be the perfect addition to my collage of frames that I plan on creating (in our computer room).
It's all about looking past appearance and invisioning the potential when you are thrift shopping.

I have been loving milk glass lately. I love the dainty, girly feel of it, I guess. I made the paper flowers in the vase. They're from the Martha Stewart tissue paper flower kit.
So our next project is the computer room/spare bedroom. We painted it a dark red color (see vase picture above) last year. I don't know what I was thinking- it's a nice color but it's just
too dark. We're going to pick out paint next weekend and repaint it a brighter, neutral tone. I can't wait to hang my "new" mirror and frames!
i agree, the frames are so charming! can't wait to see what you put inside the frames
