| This is a necklace that I have worn almost every single day for about 2 years now. When my grandfather passed away I was a complete mess because he was more of a father to me than a grandfather and I felt so lost without him. My mom, aunt, grandmother, and I all ordered matching necklaces and had them filled with his ashes so that we could have a part of him with us always. I know that this may sound strange to some people but it is extremely comforting for us. For me personally, the necklace brings a great sense of safety and it makes me feel like he is still by my side. |

Aw, I think that is a lovely way to remember your grandfather. I'm so sorry for your loss. I recently lost my grandpa as well and I've been so sad about it every single day since he passed, it's definitely rough to cope with the passing of such a beloved person in your life. I really love this idea though.

Wow, that is extremely sentimental. My grandfather also passed away a few years ago and I was very heavy hearted to lose such an amazing person in my life. I think it's fantastic that you have part of yours with you at all times. So sweet!

ReplyDeleteYour necklace reminds me of the Victorian tradition of keeping a lock of their loved one's hair in a locket - so that they always feel close to them. I can see how this necklace brings you comfort - thanks for sharing!
