It's My...

Birthday!

The sixth anniversary of my 21st birthday to be exact. I'm not liking this whole late twenties thing one bit but I am ready; and by ready I mean I am armed with all of my creams, serums, and masks to do everything I can to prevent the aging process.

Birthday festivities are in order for this weekend (yay!) so today will be a laid back kind of day (where I will ponder all day about how I can possibly turn back time). I know I'm being a bit dramatic but really, I'm having a tough time and I'm holding on to my twenties for dear life.
Am I the only one experiencing this "late twenties life crisis?"

  1. Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happpyyyy birthday dear Schnelleeeeeeee, happy birthday to you!!!

I've come to terms with it. Besides you're still IN your twenties. I know I'll be thinking that when I'm in my thirties. You're healthy, with a wonderful husband, embrace it!! :)

Happy Birthday again, enjoy it! :)

  3. Happy birthday, Schnelle!

I can relate because next year I will hit the big 3-0, ACK! Luckily I still have some time to come to terms with that one.

  4. Have a lovely birthday! In my mind, I'm still in my twenties! (I will turn 34 this year...cough cough, I mean 24?)

I believe thinking young is very healthy. As long as you don't feel your age - you won't look it! At least that is what I tell myself :-)

  5. Happy Birthday! I am also 27. Sometimes I'll forget, and then think REALLY?!?! I'm 27? That sounds so old! I'm not too concerned with ageing though ... there's nothing we can do to stop it. I think by the time we're 40, our minds will have matured to the point where it's not as nightmarish in reality as it seems now. That's my hope and I'm sticking to it!

  6. Happy birthday sweetie! Yes, being in your late twenties is an odd feeling. It's kind of like being in your late teens! I still feel trapped between going out and having fun and being an adult. But I think the thirties are something to look forward to!

  7. Happy birthday Gorgeous!

I had an extremely tough time turning 29 (!!!!) a couple months ago knowing it was my last 20-something! You have a few more years to savor the 20's while I'm down to 10 months! Haha, I hope the birthday festivities are as lovely as you are!

  12. Hi Schnelle - I found your blog through Simply Sarah. I had a really hard time with my mid-20's for some reason! I hit 30 when I was living overseas in a country where the press would refer to people in their 30's-40's as "youngsters", so it wasn't as bad for me as it might have been in the US. That said, I'm currently 33 and just flat out don't celebrate birthdays anymore! I don't even ACKNOWLEDGE them. ;) But I agree with the above posters that age is more about state of mind and health. Have a great one - you look fabulous!
