Memorial Day Weekend Recap & Outfits

This 3-day weekend flew by just as fast as any other normal weekend. Saturday was unseasonably cold, gloomy, and windy but we managed to make the best of it anyway. We went to my parent's house for a BBQ but we ended up eating inside because of the weather. Sunday, was still windy and a little chilly but it was sunny so we went to the lake, barbecued, and hung out at the beach club with our friends and their kids. Monday, we had a lazy day and then went to my in-laws for yet another BBQ that night. Needless to say, I ate like a queen all weekend and I'm realizing now that I really didn't take any photos all weekend (I'm so mad at myself for slacking here). Something else that I realized while creating this post is that I've been doing a lot of shopping at ON. They've had so many great pieces lately though.
P.S I apologize for the crappy pictures with the crappy lighting, I really need to slow down and take the time to focus before snapping the pictures.

Top: Old Navy
Shorts; Old Navy Kids
Gold Glitter Flats: Charlotte Russe

Tank Top: Old Navy
Cardigan: Old Navy
Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch
Flats: JCP

This is the only picture that I managed to get of Aubrey. She had her patriotic headband on all weekend. I had a few outfits planned for her for this weekend but it was too cold so I'll have to save them for the 4th of July I suppose.
...and with that, I'll leave you with this delicious cake that my mom made. Angel food cake with pineapple & whipped cream layers, topped with berries- De-lish!

  1. Sounds like a fun weekend! I graciously joined my husband to see Fast & Furious 6 (I was the one in the back stating under my breath, "Oh pa-leeze! That could never happen!!" Yeah... not my favorite movie...haha! Now I get a free pass to get him to go to a chick flick with me. ;)

    2. 6?! I love when they feel the need to make 30 sequels to a movie. I enjoyed the first one but just like the Hangover, you gotta let it rest before you ruin it.

  2. So adorable! I didn't even attempt to make my boys were anything cute...I've been buying a lot of ON except they just changed their return policy and weren't very nice about exchanging somethings someone had bought my boys (in the weren't the right size) so now they are on my bad list for another week or so... I get over things quickly! Love the shorts color with the black and white!

    1. Oh no! I haven't returned anything there in a while. Is it as bad as the Gap's return policy? Theirs is ridiculous. The top is actually navy and white (my fault for crap lighting) but yea, I was pleasantly surprised with the color combo.

Your outfits are great too. I haven't been to ON in a couple months! Can you believe that? I need to go again, they have great staples for every season. I love the shorts in the first picture! I think they are going to be my new summer uniform.
