New Loves for 2012

Hot Tools 1110 Curling Iron (1 1/4 inch barrel)
I've had the same Revlon cheepie curling iron since I was like 16 (yes, it lasted that long!) and it wasn't until recently that I stumpled upon this this treasure. I love how this curling iron has an adjustable heat setting and it heats up really fast too. It also has a rotating cord that moves along with the movement of the iron (it spins around instead of being stationary like most appliances). Another big plus is that the black tip on the end of the iron doesn't get scorching hot so you can easily twist your hair around the barrel without worrying about burning your fingers.
E.L.F Liquid Eyeliner -Black-
I have been using this liner everyday for the last month and I can't really find anything to complain about. It stays put all day without flaking or smudging off - it even outwears my Urban Decay and MAC eyeshadows (which start creasing by late night)!
Left: E.L.F --- Right: Almay
I always used Almay liquid liner because it was durable and I love the applicator. The E.L.F applicator end is a but thinner and more flexible where the Almay applicator end is more stiff. I always thought that the stiff end allowed for a more precise application but I find that the flexible end makes life a lot easier when applying liner to the inner top corner of the lids. The flexible end also makes it easier to create the wispy wing on the outer corner of your eye. So, much to my surprise, I've warmed up to the new applicator and I am really enjoying it. Not to mention the savings, the Almay liner retails for about $7.00 and the E.L.F liner is only $1!

  2. Unfortunately we do not have any Elf products in Ireland. But the liquid eye-liner seems exactly like what I am looking for. :)
